Its Over

So i was looking through the website of our old university today, you know just to reminisce about the good old days and i stumbled across this. I thought it was rather fitting.

calling it early?

So.. Finally finished, except for a few pages of concept book work i am about to complete while watching Seinfeld. I couldn't help but group all the work nicely and take some photos. I have been sitting looking at my camera all day without touching it and it was killing me.

I got to thinking, if we were getting paid by the hour, even my normal rate of $19 how much would this be worth? anyone care to take a guess at how much time went into all these projects?

By my math its close to $8,000 AUD or $8132.00 US dollars.
420 hours x 19$ an hour (that was 30 weeks x 7 days x 2 hours a day average) i think that is fair, considering how much we put in this last month.

Either way.. wow.. Brad, isn't that close to what you spent building your model?

Fin

talksteer is finally complete. The box provided sooooo many hassles, I wont even bore you with the details. In made the box from a sheet of mounting board (not as simple as it sounds, take my word for it, seriously.) and then printed stickers for it.

I'm pretty tired of thinking about it at the moment, so I'll just let the pics do the talking.

3000 Renders

Ever wondered what approx. 3,250 renders would look like, well they sing to the tune of something like this:

Turn your sound up, click full screen, 720p and enjoy :)

I wasn't going to post this up and wait until presentation, but I figure it's possible not everyone will be there to see everyone else's.

This clip is made up of 3,233 still renders in 1920x1080 resolution.  The final one, is set to play in the background during question time at the conclusion of my presentation.

Need opinions

So i think that having angled text and what not is one of the cardinal sins of graphic design.. but i also remember hearing if you know the rules its OK to break them or something.. so question is.. what do you think, suitable for this sort of presentation or not... be brutally honest, i have a more sedate one as well so if you don't like it say so please.

Update

So the desk only needs to have the screen glued in now, just waiting to clear coat that part. The rest is done, including the sides and the TV screens on the posts as well as the desk itself. Anyway here are the photos.

Well, here is it guys, my model as good as finished.

The Stands in all their finished glory, note the black side panels and "display screens"

The Stands, highlighting their screens for interaction

The little buckets which you will never see

The Stands from above

Now.. to start on the clips... At least they wont take long
